Yoga and Vegetarian?
How many of you who practice yoga are also vegetarian?
Ok, let me put it another way. How many of you who practice yoga eat less meat than you used to?
I certainly fall into that camp. I'm not a vegetarian, still slip some meat into my diet at times, but I do notice that since practicing yoga and meditation, I'm much more conscious about what I put into my body.
Just read about an interesting business trend of mixing yoga and vegetarian restaurant - in this case it's a story about a woman in NAPA who started this combination business.
Got me to thinking though about how many others who practice yoga also stay away from meat.
If this is the case, then yoga and meditation may owe at least some of it's benefits for lowering blood pressure, increasing stamina and energy to the influence yoga and meditation has on our overall self-image, especially as it relates to food.
What about you - does yoga affect your self-image and/or diet?
