Yoga Instruction - Self Awareness Focus
I have to admit, one of the major benefits of yoga I've personally
experienced, and heard from many others that they found most
rewarding is an increased sense of self-awareness.
Often we hear that the major benefits of yoga are flexibility,
muscle toning, balance - for me it is absolutely a much keener ability
to live "in the moment" - being able to step back and actually
view objectively what I am feeling at any given time.
I'm not perfect, neither yoga nor meditation require that you be
perfect, sometimes it takes a while to figure that out as this
growth in self awareness is a constant, gradual process - but when
you get so far, it will hit you - yoga has opened up a whole new
world within your life.

books or videos that emphasize the self-awareness aspects of yoga.
