Yoga In the Afternoon

Do you hit your "wall" around 2-3PM in the afternoon, when you just can't seem to keep your eyes open?

You know, its that time when your head starts to bob, you just need to sit down, have trouble concentrating - just can't seem to focus as well as the morning?

Truth is, most of us experience this energy lapse in the afternoon.

Why - combination of blood sugar, mental exhaustion, boredom, and a variety of other physical and mental factors.

I too used to feel the 2 O' clock downtime - until I started a regime of Yoga and exercise, now my afternoons are amazing!!

Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays I attend a noon-hour Yoga and meditation class, while Tuesday's and Thursdays I try and get a workout in.

Not only are my afternoons incredibly energized, but my blood sugar is far more regulated, my mind is stimulated, my sense of well-being as enhanced and I sleep better at night (when you really do want to sleep, but often can't due to stress).

Don't have a class to attend, then get yourself a Yoga video or subscribe to an online site where you can access a library of yoga videos - here's a few resources for you to consider: Yoga Video Resources

I used to rely on caffeine to get me through the day - now I'm lost without my noon-hour yoga class.

Give it a try for a few weeks, I can't wait until you feel the way I do!

Jeff
